1. Encourage outdoor activities

2. Provide a healthy diet


Good nutrition is important for the protection and growth of every part of the body and the eyes are no exception. The daily diet should be filled with fruits, vegetables, nuts, fish, and eggs. Nutrients like Vitamin C, Zinc, and Vitamin E and Omega-3 fatty acids are good for your eye health. Make sure your child's meals are such that they contain all of these nutrients. If the child already has poor vision (at birth or in the first years of life), it is also recommended to provide vitamins for the eyes.

3. Ensure regular eye check-ups


Healthy and regular eye exams are essential in childhood. Medical examinations performed in the first years of life ensure the protection and treatment of the underlying problems. Take your child to a doctor every month or every two months so that it can be treated and cured in the first years of the life of the child if a vision or nutritional problem is noted.

4. Provide visually stimulating toys


Do not make your ordinary child into smartphones like toys. It is important to provide them with suitable toys that support the visual development and improve motor and visual coordination skills. Some visually stimulating toys include puzzles, game dough, building blocks, sketchbooks, finger paints and so on.
