I have to admit
that self-care was a buzzword in the wellness community. But it is for a good
reason. I firmly believe that self-care is an integral part of a healthy and
complete lifestyle. Gone are the days when you need to eat perfectly, work out
6 days a week to feel good and healthy.
I like talking
about health changes and moving in a more holistic and sustainable direction.
Because God knows that there is more to life than calorie obsession.
But before you go
ahead and continue with why caring is important, start by defining it.
WHAT IS
SELF-CARE?
Body care means
taking the time to do activities that nourish the mind, body and/or spirit.
Some common examples are reading, bathing, lighting candles, painting, going
for a walk. But there are no really bad answers.
Personal care
takes the time to look after and care for oneself.

IT’S IMPORTANT
BECAUSE…
If you can take
care of yourself, you can really appear and be present in your life. I'm sure
you can remember one moment (maybe right now) by doing everything for the
others 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. He probably does not sleep well and maybe
exhaustion increases his desire. Maybe you stopped exercising or maybe you
trained too much. At these moments, we separate signals that tell us that we
need to reduce speed.
It often happens
that you burn yourself at some point. When you are physically and emotionally
exhausted, you simply can not do a good job, even if you do what you love.
Taking breaks is
important to restore energy. This also applies to creative energy.
